In a world that seeks to dictate the terms of His involvement, a correct view of God is critical. Unveiled is about taking God at His Word, and is both challenging and encouraging to us in our walk with Christ. It is challenging because of its direct appeal to have us consider where we are in our Christian walk, relative to where God would have us be. Unveiled is encouraging; in spite of the many ways in which we fall short of God’s glory, His grace remains. Unveiled brings us back to a God-centered focus. Plain-spoken and practical, Unveiled benefits anyone at any level of spiritual maturity. Spiritual growth occurs day by day as we encounter God. With devotions, combined with prayers and Scripture readings, Unveiled helps you in that encounter. By God’s grace, your faith will grow, your life will be changed, but most importantly, our God will be glorified. “Unveiled is one of the most unique devotionals I have seen. The reader is stimulated to read God’s Word and to contemplate complex issues. It is a great tool for growing in the faith and knowing God more intimately. I find it to be a user-friendly devotional with practical concepts for dealing with everyday challenges.” —Lt. Gen. William G. Boykin, executive vice president, Family Research Council and author of Never Surrender: A Soldier’s Journey to the Crossroads of Faith and Freedom

Unveiled, is a Poetic Portal N2 Life through Love, Lust, Pain and deceit. This anthology of adult poems contours the strengths and weaknesses of relationships. It distorts what seems real and makes a fantasy pure reality. My expressions are pure and simple with a twist. These poetic verses take on a life of their own and invite you to become a part of them. It will intoxicate your mind and free your spirit. It will take you into life, and touch on topics that most would not speak of. Love has no name, no protocol, no right or wrong way, its just love. Once you have experienced true lust, and real pain, you will understand that; you must live life to the fullest and be happy with your decisions. Love becomes the most dominant feeling and it transforms you, it changes the way you walk, you talk, you dress, it evens changes your way of writing. Cystic fibrosis (CF), an inherited chronic disease that affects the lungs and digestive system of about 30,000 children and adults in the United States (70,000 worldwide). A defective gene and its protein product cause the body to produce unusually thick, sticky mucus that clogs the lungs and leads to life-threatening lung infections; and obstructs the pancreas and stops natural enzymes from helping the body break down and absorb food. In the 1950s, few children with cystic fibrosis lived to attend elementary school. Today, advances in research and medical treatments have further enhanced and extended life for children and adults with CF. Many people with the disease can now expect to live into their 30s, 40s and beyond. Unveiled tells a true story of how life can change in a single breath. Unveiled is a true story about how two parents dealt with the devastating news that their baby girl was born with cystic fibrosis. Which in 1973 was considered a death-sentence. When the doctor informed Laurie’s parents of the diagnosis of cystic fibrosis in 1973, Laurie’s father made the decision for the whole family, including her mother and her sister, aunts, uncles, and grandparents etc. to keep cystic fibrosis a secret from her. This story unveils the truth about how an illness can disrupt an entire family’s life in a single breath from the life they once knew and the challenges they faced, the unforeseen obstacles, the heartbreak and the triumph. Laurie was a young woman of twenty-two when she found out the shocking news that she has a fatal disease, cystic fibrosis. She found out shortly after walking up the stairs one Friday evening and became short of breath. Since that moment on the stairs, Laurie’s life has never been the same. Behind the veil of distressing symptoms of CF, she overcame the shock of her diagnosis, learned to deal with its daily struggles and strengthened her relationship with her parents and her sister. With an optimistic view on life, a determined attitude, Laurie continues to live an amazing life with CF.

Sacrifice Unveiled

Most ideas of sacrifice, even specifically Christian ideas, as we saw in the Reformation controversies, have something to do with deprivation or destruction. But this is not authentic Christian sacrifice. Authentic Christian sacrifice, and ultimately all true sacrifice (whether one is conscious of it or not) begins with the self-offering of the Father in the gift-sending of the Son, continues with the loving "response" of the Son, in his humanity, and in the Spirit, to the Father and for us, and finally, begins to become real in our world when human beings, in the power of the same Spirit that was in Jesus, respond to love with love, and thus begin to enter into that perfectly loving, totally self-giving relationship that is the life of the triune God. The origins of this are in the Hebrew Bible, its revelatory high-points in Jesus and Paul, and its working out in the life of the Church, especially its Eucharistic Prayers. Special attention will be paid to the atonement, not just because atonement and sacrifice are often synonymous, but also because traditional atonement theology is the source of distortions that continue to plague Christian thinking about sacrifice. After exploring the possibility of finding a phenomenology of sacrificial atonement in Girardian mimetic theory, the book will end with some suggestions on how to communicate its findings to people likely to be put off from the outset by the negative connotations associated with "sacrifice."

The idea that the universe is not made up of solid matter and that all that we perceive as objects —from atoms to stars— are really waves, has been around for a long time, going back to ancient Greece. As you can see, the existence of matter-waves is not a new concept. Ever since the physicist Prince Louis de Broglie formally suggested them in 1924, the modern scientific world has accepted the concept as a possibility but has not been able to rationally accept it for various reasons. Einstein hinted to the existence of matter-waves —while perhaps unaware of it— with his formulation of Special Relativity, which implied mass-energy equivalence. How can an object contract into an infinitesimal length as it approaches the speed of light and then go back to normal when it slows down without catastrophic structural damage? Spacetime may contract, but how is the structure of matter linked to spacetime so that it also contracts without damage? Einstein states that mass somehow transitions to energy and vice versa, not explaining the details of how and ignoring that energy and mass are such very different observables. The standard reasoning is that they are different manifestations of the same thing. But what is this “thing”, this substance that remains so infinitely malleable under special relativity and such a chameleon under mass-energy equivalence? Waves come to mind, but although they may be very malleable, can they be infinitely malleable and yet also have the property of forming rigid structures in order to pose as matter? What if matter and spacetime are both the same, synthesized by waves, and the substance that is waving is not a substance; does all of the above then become possible and rationally acceptable? Reality Unveiled explores, explains and justifies that possibility.

Six Strategies the Enemy Uses to Confuse You about God’s Law to Destroy You is about a man who worked for the King until he decided to promote himself. He thought that he would one day rule that Kingdom but was cast out. So he became the King’s enemy. Instead of giving the King’s message to the people, he gives them his own message. The adversary rebels against the King’s commands and tries to discredit the King’s words. He twists them to deceive the people into following him instead of following the King. He secretly plans to lead recruits down unrighteous paths by lies and flatteries to destroy them. His followers are taught to duplicate him. Since this enemy cannot create, he erroneously teaches the laws of his former King to confuse the people. He tricks people into his kingdom with false doctrines. Those who know the truth defeat him and destroy his works. With powerful truths from the Scriptures, Louvenia reveals how you can: • know what is right • discern the enemy’s intent to deceive you • be established in the truth • know what’s done away with and what’s not • destroy the enemy’s lies and • be established in the faith Do Old Testament laws still apply today? Find out the truth about God’s law and the law of Moses, and how confusion of the laws leads Christians into following ungodly doctrines that lead to eternal damnation.

The bubbles were swirling all around me, massaging my body. As I luxuriated in this fantastic bath, I gasped realizing that those bubbles carried with them miniature galaxies bringing the entire Cosmos into my bathtub... Alfie is back. And so are George and other characters from the author’s previous book Einstein’s Enigma or Black Holes in My Bubble Bath. While the present book, Universe Unveiled - The Cosmos in My Bubble Bath, is completely independent, its storyline can be considered a sequel to the previous one. The scientific content spanning ancient world models to the most recent mysteries of cosmology is presented in an entirely nontechnical and descriptive style through the discussions between Alfie, the enlightened learner, and George, professor of astrophysics. Fantasies, based on these discussions that cover the scientific facts, are created by the magical bubble baths taken by Alfie. Universe Unveiled blends accurate science with philosophy, drama, humour, and fantasy to create an exciting cosmic journey that reads like a novel and educates as it entertains. “Spurred by a series of mind-bending discoveries, Man’s millennial love affair with the stars has now reached fever pitch. No one writing today is better positioned to evoke the romance and beauty of these cosmic discoveries than Vishveshwara. A leading expert in Einstein’s relativity theory, he brings a lyrical voice and a poetic sensibility to this joyful task. Universe Unveiled, a unique literary creation, transports readers into believing they can actually hear the music of the spheres.” Professor Robert Fuller, Former President, Oberlin College (USA) Author of Somebodies and Nobodies: Overcoming the Abuse of Rank

Since the early 1800s, African Americans have designed signature buildings; however, in the mainstream marketplace, African American architects, especially women, have remained invisible in architecture history, theory and practice. Traditional architecture design studio education has been based on the historical models of the Beaux-Arts and the Bauhaus, with a split between design and production teaching. As the result of current teaching models, African American architects tend to work on the production or technical side of building rather than in the design studio. It is essential to understand the centrality of culture, gender, space and knowledge in design studios. Space Unveiled is a significant contribution to the study of architecture education, and the extent to which it has been sensitive to an inclusive cultural perspective. The research shows that this has not been the case in American education because part of the culture remains hidden.
