Honest-to-goodness miracle workers were not welcomed by the Pastor of Rome County Kentucky’s snake-handling church. Josiah David Fitzpatrick Sr. was averse to being shown up by anyone, especially his blood-crying son, JoJo. Growing up in the Ku Klux Klan, in the 1970s, with a sociopathic father and a child-molesting stepmother was a daily struggle all by itself. But the day six-year-old JoJo gave sight to his eyeless best friend, Larissa, in the presence of his father’s church, the need to escape Rome County became a matter of life and death. JoJo had to leave to save himself and his older brother, Judas, and stepsister, Ruth. The journey would open JoJo’s spiritual eyes to his own darkness and teach him that the meaning of life is, and always has been, to dance with God. A story of the supernatural, To Dance with God introduces us to the blood criers in the world, that see beyond the darkness of man with an impossible love not their own. The story transcends organized religion with the underlying truth of us all—that we are the most alive when we love each other. The author can be reached at [email protected]

Rarely do you see a book that offers passion, testimonies, and biblical expertise so that others can be fully equipped. —Theresa Dedmon, Director of Prophetic Arts, Bethel Church We have personally experienced the breakthrough power of the dance many, many times in Succat Hallel, our 24/7 worship room that overlooks Mount Zion in Jerusalem. —Rick and Patti Ridings, Succat Hallel The author’s personal journey of devotion through dance has taken her worldwide. Dancing for An Audience of One will give insight to the praise dance minister and those who aspire to dance for the Lord, a greater understanding of who and why we dance. This book will teach and instruct on the principles of who we dance for. The readers will get a better understanding of dancing for God and not for show. It is my conviction, and I hope that for many other praise dancers that this will be their conviction as well""that we are not entertainers, we are not performers, but we are dance ministers. We are here to reach souls for Christ through the ministry of dance! God is ultimately the reason why we dance, and when dancing for Him, we should come with reverence and humility knowing that He is to be lifted up and given the highest praise and worship during our ministering. It's easy to lose focus when the enemy makes light of who and why we dance. No, you are not dancing for Mom or Dad. No, you are not dancing for Ma-Ma or even Pop-pop. You are not dancing for the co-worker that you invited or even for the pastor. You are dancing for God, the One who gave his life for you on the cross. All others are what I call beneficiaries and supporters, which are needed. However, keep focus on dancing for God first. This book that you hold will reveal some things about the dance ministry that you may or may not have known, but after reading this book, you will be able to see some of the tricks that the enemy will play. You will have a better understanding of why you dance and who you are dancing for. You will learn a few things even about yourself as a dance minister that we all have encountered at dance practice or outside of dance practice. Knowing that our bodies are temples and are being used to speak to God and His people through movement is an awesome privilege. Dancing for God breaks strong-holds, lifts spirits, encourages, rebukes, discipline, touches a heart, and can make a difference between being lost and coming to the marvelous light. This book, although it was written with the dance minister in mind, reaches across ministries and can be helpful to any ministry within the church of Jesus Christ.

Learn how Peggy Heindel-Freed begins her journey on a rural Pennsylvania Dutch farm and ends in a ministry that embraces societies lost and forgotten. She is born into a family surrounded by the spiritual demons of addiction and anger. She is thrust into city life at a young age. She first lives in a row home in York City and later lives across from the York County Detention Home for Youth on Pleasant Acres Road in the suburbs of York, Pennsylvania. The turmoil of the times which included race rioting, addiction, and verbal abuse leads to fear, anxiety, and illness. The hippy movement, women's lib, free sex, and free drugs leads to an era of confusion. Peggy's saving grace is her mother who leads her to God's redeeming love. She takes her faithfully every summer to Bible school at a little Mennonite Church. She prays every night with Peggy in her nightly ritual of tucking her into bed. Peggy accepts Jesus as her Savior. He reveals Himself to her through scripture and becomes her Father and Friend. Peggy prays intently for her family for years. They finally return to the country in the hills of Dover, Pennsylvania. Her father comes to Christ in a very profound way when Peggy is a young teenager. Even though her Dad is different, she is still filled with pain. She goes on a search to find out why her life was surrounded by addiction and abuse. She talks to the Lord day and night. She cries out for healing and the Lord answers. He leads her to a Christian healing. She moves back to the area near her grandparent's farm in Spring Grove, Pennsylvania. Peggy was blessed at a young age with a loving husband and two beautiful children. Peggy's healing begins when she help's a friend go through a drug rehab. She learns that addiction and abuse are generational. She realized the Lord used her to help save this young woman's life. She prays a very bold prayer that the Lord answers. She prays for the Lord to use her to help heal other families. God begins to use her to teach Sunday school and Bible school The Lord calls her at age forty to a ministry that takes her back to those same streets of York City that she grew up on to help women and children start over after hardships. Those hardships lead her into the prison, psych wards, and rescue missions as well as the court rooms to plead for the women who want to start over with the help of Jesus Christ. Peggy shares the "dance lessons" that the Lord taught her to reach freedom from her pain. It took a lot of hard work and studying the word of God to reach this point. She wants you to experience the same freedom that she has. If you are willing to reach out and do the work it takes, you can learn to dance through life's hardships. The Lord states in Matthew 11:28 "Come to me, all who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest."

My journey began as a university student. Armed with a fresh encounter with God, I set out on my destiny. In fraternity with a few other like-minded men, I captured the vision of giving away what I had encountered. I had lived, primarily up to this occasion, for myself. I had unwittingly filled the insecurities, the holes in my heart, with pride and selfishness. Gaining approval and performance orientation were unspoken mantras in my life. However, I was on a new trek! It was all about loving others, helping, serving, and reaching people. The Great Commission became my great obsession. My pursuit was vigorous, yet over time, it left me drained of vigor! I found myself in a strange, uncharted place within. I grasped for new vitality in my God-life. I found and apprehended a new handle in my life. It was a new corridor! I found new energy in the quest of seeking after God and loving God. I became a God chaser. I saw the priority of being a God seeker rather than a people seeker. The flames of my God-life were fanned! After several years of traveling this route, to my amazement, my flame began to burn out. The battery of my emotions and will were drained in a way I had experienced before. I wilted in the race of running with the Great Commission. I became heavy, carrying the weight of being a God chaser. Why was my soul gas tank low? Weren't these honorable pursuits? I had loved myself, others, and then God. How, then, shall I go forward with my God-life? Let's relook at the road map and recalibrate the compass. Come...take a journey with me!

"Overcoming Abuse God's Way tells the beautiful story of redemption--how God's faithful love pursued the heart of a broken woman caught up in the grip of abuse, and how He tenderly set her free and raised her up to a new life. For every woman who is longing for love and acceptance in all the wrong places, this story will give you hope and practical resources to live in freedom and love as God's beloved daughter." Angela Thomas Best-Selling Author and Speaker "Janet Marie Napper offers the reader a compelling and heartrending account of a life--her life--impacted by abuse and the long, difficult, and painful journey toward hope and healing in its aftermath. Written for a general audience, the book calls us to see the despair, the denial, the desire to escape, and the eventual determination that is required to change the stranglehold of the past and to chart a new direction. Survivors and those who walk alongside them will find her story a powerful lens through which to see the cruelty of childhood abuse as well as its long term consequences." Nancy Nason-Clark, professor at the University of New Brunswick, Canada; author of numerous books and articles, including Beyond Abuse in the Christian Home and Refuge from Abuse: Healing and Hope for Abused Christian Women. After reading this book, I would like other teenagers to read it. It shows us how not to make wrong decisions in boys so we don't make mistakes and get hurt. This book shows you what to look for and not get tricked into being abused by boys and men... Desi Raine Age 13
