From phenomenally successful fantasy author Robert Jordan (The Wheel of Time), writing as Reagan O'Neal, comes The Fallon Blood, a splendid story of the American Revolution. In 1765, Michael Fallon, an Irishman on the run from brutal English overlords, makes his way to Charleston, South Carolina, as an indentured servant. Bound over to Thomas Carver, a successful merchant, he quickly shows a knack for trade -- and a disturbing attraction to Carver's beautiful, sensual daughter, Elizabeth. With luck and intelligence -- and not without bloodshed -- he rises into the rice-planting aristocracy of the Carolina Lowcountry, where a frontier spirit pulses beneath the superficial trappings of an agrarian society that is heading rapidly toward revolution. Michael Fallon hopes for peace. But the winds of war are rising, and the planter must become a privateer.... And the early dalliance with Elizabeth leaves a bitter aftertaste.... This novel follows the less familiar Southern course of the war, including the battles of Cowpens, King's Mountain, and Eutaw Springs (the bloodiest battle on the continent until Shiloh); and brings onto center stage such notables as Ben Franklin, Cornwallis, the Swamp Fox Francis Marion, the British Colonel "Butcher" tarleton, Colonel William Moultrie, the Marquis de Lafayette -- and a true cast of thousands! At the Publisher's request, this title is being sold without Digital Rights Management Software (DRM) applied.

So when she hears the National Six-Day Endurance Race—a grueling motorcycle race that has never been won by a woman—is being launched from her town, she decides to enter it to win her community’s respect. This thief seems to be following the motorcycle racing circuit to case out and pull off his heists. Dallas agrees to work with undercover FBI agent Connor O’Reilly, who is also enrolled in the race, but she soon finds him to be arrogant and unwilling to trust her policing skills. It doesn’t help that he is also tall, dark, and handsome, and quite possibly the sexiest man she has ever met. As the Heirloom Bandit threatens their safety, things heat up in their investigation as much as they heat up between Dallas and Connor. Can these two work together and, if so, exactly what form will their collaboration take?

In the year 1476 of the kingdom of KnorraSky (NORA-SKY), a war is raging. On the one side of this vicious conflict is the Kree Kingdom lead by the Horde King Gerick and his evil wife Queen Sheral. On the opposing side were King Noman and his wife, Queen Raven, and they lead the fight for the great kingdom known as KnorraSky. This conflict was started almost forty cycles past by the king of the Kree in an attempt to find two lost parts of an ancient book and unite them with a third part that had come into his possession. The book was called Ru-ell or the Book of Power. The missing books that the Kree were doggedly pursuing were thought to be somewhere in the western part of the land of KnorraSky. The Kree valued this book greatly because it was said that a completed Ru-ell would provide unlimited power to the one who could unite it and thereafter learn its secrets. During a battle deep in the Kree territory at a place called Key-Hole Pass, a 'Deception' occurs and the largest part of the fighting men of KnorraSky abandoned Noman and his small force in the middle of the night. Along with the men his dear wife, Raven, is missing also. Noman was beside himself over the treasonous act of one of his most trusted people and the loss of his wife was almost unbearable. As morning comes, Gerick attacks with a staggering force and Noman is captured and his forces are all but wiped out. To escape from the evil Queen Sheral, requires the help of new friends and a very dangerous adventure. After returning to KnorraSky an uprising occurs and an opportunist named Gillis brings the charge of treason against King Noman and Symonious, the First Knight of Or. Gillis contends that Noman is responsible for the 'Deception', or at the least knew it was to occur. At the trial Gillis puts forth a false witness and Noman and Symonious are sentenced to death. A narrow escape, aided by the First Knights of eight territories of KnorraSky, kept them alive. But now as fugitives with a great price on their heads, they must flee to the mountains far to the west. After changing his name and the way he looks, Noman becomes a wanderer in the land and he begins to deal with a deep-set depression that is caused by the loss of his wife, Raven. He also feels guilty over a decision he had made at Key-Hole Pass that cost him the battle and the lives of thousands of the fighting men of KnorraSky. Because of this he is no longer the confident man that he once was and his mind often becomes clouded with feelings of worthlessness and guilt. Where once strength and confidence held sway, now weakness, uncertainty and distrust overpower this once powerful man. As the cycles pass Gillis becomes a powerful leader in the land and he makes peace with King Gerick of the Kree. However, Gerick is only using the greedy Gillis as a means to an end and in time he moves on KnorraSky and captures the kingdom. Now, with the hordes of King Gerick bearing down on him, King Noman must once again find the strength to lead his people. Can Noman shake the darkness that clouds his mind and hinders him from stopping Gerick and his relentless hordes? Will he learn the identity of the person that caused the 'Deception' at Key-Hole pass. The 'Deception' that led to the loss of the kingship, the kingdom and his Queen. And most importantly to Noman, will he ever see his dear wife, Raven, again? The answers to these questions lie twisted and entangled within the pages of KnorraSky, volume 1 The Deception.

One mans personal journey of grieving the loss of his wife written over a period of 3 years January 11 2002 Oh Booby, Booby, Booby. This explains it all. I want you back so much, yet fully understand this is a fantasy. It must be my way of handling (or trying to) my pain, thinking of the good times, wanting the good times, knowing that now they have to come from what I make. Round and round we go, its an intriguing web we weave ourselves. The web breaks, so we have to spin a new one. This I will continue to do until I make a web so strong that I will feel safe, feel confident with myself. March 2 2002 Still feeling as though Im just floating like a feather in the wind. Like the feather I dont know where I will land. Its as though I have no control but I know for sure that this is not so. Im in complete control; it is me allowing myself to be in this state. I want companionship so much, but Im scared, I want to touch, explore, and feel someone. Selfishly for my own needs but its something I need to happen because I have to justify to myself that I can love again.

Goodbye to All That

In 1929 Robert Graves went to live abroad permanently, vowing 'never to make England my home again'. This is his superb account of his life up until that 'bitter leave-taking': from his childhood and desperately unhappy school days at Charterhouse, to his time serving as a young officer in the First World War that was to haunt him throughout his life. It also contains memorable encounters with fellow writers and poets, including Siegfried Sassoon and Thomas Hardy, and covers his increasingly unhappy marriage to Nancy Nicholson. Goodbye to All That, with its vivid, harrowing descriptions of the Western Front, is a classic war document, and also has immense value as one of the most candid self-portraits of an artist ever written. Includes illustrations and explanatory footnotes.
