The one BIG question: How do you disciple another man? Men in thousands of churches across the world know there is more to faith than just attending church — they know there is the potential to walk in Christ’s image, live in Christ’s image, and work to spread Christ’s word. But the one big question they are all asking is how? The Spirit of God is compelling them to seek the answer. This book is the gateway to answering that question. The authors spent years struggling to build a life of meaning before realizing their depravity and asking the questions: “What does it mean to be a godly man, and how can I become one?” The Spirit answered by sending men into their lives to disciple them, not with disdain or judgment, but with love and compassion, a gospel-centered focus. These men walked alongside them in the messiness of life, helping them to apply Biblical truths and spiritual disciplines in a challenging world. From their own personal journeys, out of the abyss, the authors have written this book. Here you will learn to: • BUILD a one-on-one relationship • CREATE a culture of men who support each other • LOOK TO CHRIST and find what obstacles are blocking you • TRANSFORM your life seeing the Gospel advance through the discipling of other men. Real-Life Discipleship: The Ordinary Man’s Guide to Disciple-Making offers a gateway from confusion to clarity, from struggle to transformation.

Over the last thirty years, many influential church leaders and church planters in America have adopted various models for reaching unchurched people. An “attractional” model will seek to attract people to a local church. Younger leaders may advocate a more “missional” approach, in which believers live and work among unchurched people and intentionally seek to serve like Christ. While each of these approaches have merit, something is still missing, something even more fundamental to the mission of the church: discipleship. Making disciples—helping people to trust and follow Jesus—is the church’s God-given mandate. Devoted disciples attract people outside the church because of the change others see in their Christ-like lives. And discipleship empowers Christians to be more like Christ as they intentionally develop relationship with non-believers. DiscipleShift walks you through five key “shifts” that churches must make to refocus on the biblical mission of discipleship. These intentional changes will attract the world and empower your church members to be salt and light in their communities.

An Invitation to Deeper, More Joyful, and Rewarding Relationships with God and Others None of us is lovable all of the time. People are unreasonable, arguments flare, feelings are hurt. And no one can make us feel worse than those closest to us. It's easy to fall into the trap of closing ourselves off in order to protect ourselves, rather than opening ourselves up for relationship with each other. But think of who Jesus invited into his life and ministry. They weren't always lovable. Yet he modeled perfect love for us and showed how the mark of a spiritually mature believer was always love. In The Power of Together, pastor and author Jim Putman uncovers the core of true discipleship with an in-depth, biblical look at how Jesus always invited people into relationship with himself. He loved them with God's perfect love and, in the process, showed everyone around him that the act of following God is the act of extending and receiving love that endures all things.

Everything of value that we accomplish on this earth springs out of our hearts - our spiritual lives, yet that seems to be the last part of our lives that we focus on. Our families, our businesses, and even entertainment seem to take priority over what is eternal. To live an abundant life of freedom, our lives need to be focused daily on the kingdom of God and our walk with Jesus. But how do we practically do that? Have we spent much time building our relationship with God? What is our foundation for living? Is the Bible our true foundation? Do we know the character of God or understand the ways He talks to us? Do we have an understanding of how to walk with God on a daily basis? What is the vision and fruit of a Christian's life? What should be our mission on this earth and what is our source of power? These questions reveal the WHY behind this intense study of the Bible. KINGDOM LIFE DISCIPLESHIP is a program that covers the foundations of what every believer needs to know to walk with God. With journal assignments, prayers, daily scripture readings, and in-depth teaching, these units of study can set believers on a course to be able to walk with God for the rest of their lives. Divided into 4 units of study, this thirty week discipleship program can be done in two fifteen week semesters or in unit studies. It can be used by churches, Bible studies, colleges and high schools, mission organizations, or for individual spiritual growth. Unit 1 - Enduring Truths that Change Lives Unit 2 - Daily Disciplines for Growth Unit 3 - The Vision and Fruit of a Christian Unit 4 - The Power and Mission of a Christian This is Unit 2 of Kingdom Life Discipleship- Daily Disciplines for Growth. An 8 week study building a foundation of walking with God through meditating and declaring the Word of God, learning the why and how of praise and worship, and developing a heart of prayer and communion with God.

“A Disciple…will be like his teacher.” (Luke 6:40) What does it mean to be a follower of Jesus? The ultimate goal of discipleship is to be like the Teacher—to be like Jesus Himself. Every Christian wants to understand what that means. But even if we understand it, is it possible? Michael Wilkins asserts that it’s not only possible, it’s a life that all Christians are called to—not just a select few. So why do we so seldom experience it? As Wilkins points out, even the first followers of Jesus had a hard time grasping what it meant to be His disciples. Like them, our difficulty often lies in not clearly understanding who Jesus is, not recognizing the resources available to us as God’s children, or not believing who we are to be as Christ’s followers. But like the early disciples, our lives can radically change. If we want to follow Jesus, we can become like Him. “Jesus takes us exactly as He finds us,” writes Wilkins, “and transforms us into His likeness.” So come, learn what it means to walk with Jesus and reflect His image to the real world.

Churches have made many converts but far too few real disciples. Many Christians struggle to take hold of basic biblical truth and live it out. We often take a painfully long time to mature. This is not because we lack resources or teaching, but because we struggle to connect with truth This is where the Freedom in Christ course comes in. It is specifically designed to help Christians take hold of who they are in Christ, resolve personal and spiritual conflicts through genuine repentance, and move on to maturity. This revised and updated edition of the popular course takes into account comments from the many who have used and reused it.

Suppose for a moment that Jesus really is interested in every aspect of your life. Everything - the dishes and the dog and the day job and the drudgery of some of the stuff you just have to do, the TV programme you love, the staff in your local supermarket as well as the homeless in the local shelter, your boss as well as your vicar, helping a shopper find the ketchup as well as brewing the tea for the life group, the well-being of your town and the well-being of your neighbour ... Suppose the truth that every Christian is a new creature in Christ, empowered by the Spirit to do his will, means that Christ is with you everywhere you go, in every task you do, with every person you meet ... Suppose God wants to involve you in what he's doing in the places you spend your time day by day ... Suppose your whole life is important to Christ ... He does. These seven studies will help you explore and live out the marvellous truth that the gospel is an invitation into whole-life discipleship, into a life following and imitating Jesus. The call upon God's people has always been to live as a demonstration of His gospel as well as to declare His gospel message to the world around us. A lack of understanding of walking in a culture of discipleship among God's people seriously hinders that call. It results in people self-identifying as Christians but not following Jesus or seeking to live according to His commands. This is why we need a revolution of discipleship. For about thirty years Jesus was God's incarnation (God becoming flesh) to the earth. People observed the way He lived as well as the words He spoke. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (2) He was in the beginning with God. (3) All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. (4) In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men....(14) MSG The Word (Jesus) became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood. We saw the glory with our own eyes, the one-of-a-kind glory, like Father, like Son, Generous inside and out, true from start to finish" John 1:1-14. We need to see that same incarnational life of the Spirit in, among, and through God's people.
