O objetivo desta tese foi aprofundar meus entendimentos acerca da relaçãopedagógica construída por mim, a professora, e um grupo de alunos durante umcurso de inglês como língua estrangeira (ILE), na empresa em que elestrabalhavam. Para atender a esse propósito, registrei esta vivência em forma dediário durante os oito meses em que durou o curso que ministrei. Além dessediário, analisei também o potencial exploratório gerado por atividadespedagógicas realizadas pelos alunos em sala de aula e correspondências enviadaspor eles a mim. A percepção do entrelaçamento de aspectos sócio-históricoindividuais, conscientes e inconscientes, presentes nos enunciados dosparticipantes do evento pedagógico e registrados nos documentos referidos acima, levou-me a aproximar três discursos a Prática Exploratória, a Psicanálise e aFilosofia da Linguagem de Mikhail Bakhtin para buscar entender com maisprofundidade a natureza da relação pedagógica e a qualidade da vida em sala deaula. A partir da análise das formas de relação percebidas por mim e por meusalunos em nosso convívio pedagógico, pude perceber também a importância deestarmos atentos aos aspectos individuais-afetivos presentes no ambientepedagógico. Discuto a centralidade desses aspectos na construção da naturezaamorosa da relação pedagógica, que identifico como monológica e/ou dialógica, com base nas formas de relação percebidas por mim em minha práticapedagógica. Minha tese pretende aproximar os conhecimentos e a posturareflexiva dos professores que se orientam pela Prática Exploratória do saber daPsicanálise freudilacaniana sobre o sujeito humano e alguns conceitos-chave daFilosofia da Linguagem. Com essa pretensão, esta tese busca preencher umalacuna no campo do ensino de inglês como língua estrangeira dada a escassez deteorias que partam da prática profissional do professor-investigador nessa área.

In 1956, Anne Sexton was admitted into a mental hospital for post-partum depression, where she met Dr. Martin Orne, a young psychiatrist who treated her for the next eight years. In that time Sexton would blossom into a world-famous poet, best known for her "confessional" poems dealing with personal subjects not often represented in poetry at that time: mental illness, depression, suicide, sex, abortion, women's bodies, and the ordinary lives of mothers and housewives. Orne audiotaped the last three years of her therapy to facilitate her ability to remember their sessions. The final six months of these tapes are the focus of this book. In An Accident of Hope, Dawn Skorczewski links the content of the therapy with poetry excerpts, offering a rare perspective on the artist's experience and creative process. We can see Sexton attempting to make sense of her life and therapy and to sustain her confidence as a major poet, while struggling with the impending loss of Orne, who was moving elsewhere. Skorczewski's study provides an intimate, in-depth view of the therapy of a psychologically tortured yet immensely creative woman, during a period of emerging feminism and cultural change.
