When I was young, I was mysteriously protected and kept from harm. I was hit by a car, severely burned on the palms of my hands, and literally thrown out of a car into a busy intersection. Somehow I never sustained any injuries. I had many questions as this divine protection and provision continued throughout my life. Little did I know that what I endured was part of a plan for me to know what I have now learned, and share this with all who will listen. These adventures with our heavenly Father not only gave me answers to my questions but also much understanding of our Father and His works. This book tells about my adventures and part of what I learned. It is the beginning of a series of books containing what our Father has taught me. It was not easy for me to hear. It was not easy for me to write. It is always difficult for us to listen to Him. All He is asking now is for us to listen to what He has told us from the beginning and respond.

Listen to Yourself is a sympathetic little book about all the near things. It is mainly about energy, about being in harmony with the people and the things surrounding us. When we are in touch with our sixth sense, we are able to feel what to do to get a good life. We often ignore our inner voice. Some people do so almost all the time, others practice listening while others still constantly realise that they forgot to listen and are therefore taken by surprise or failing to obtain what is most important to them. Listening to oneself is not important in matters of love only, but in all aspects of life. By listening to ourselves we grow happier, and more harmonious and tolerant – and reading this straightforward little book you will soon find that perhaps it is not all that difficult. Listen to Yourself is easily understood and full of common sense, wisdom, good advice and exercises that may help you practice listening to your inner voice. Kirsten Ahlburg has been a psychotherapist in private practice for 15 years, specialising in couplehood and sexuality. In addition she has contributed to a number of newspapers and magazines as a letters editor and adviser on psychology and couplehood, and appeared in numerous television and radio programmes on these subjects. Her books Entering Couplehood...and Taking Leave of It, How to Get a Loving Couplehood and When Sex Life Becomes Deadlock are a trilogy on couplehood.

“Source: Music of the Avant-garde, 1966-1973 brings its extraordinary, historical explorations and experimentations to a new audience of contemporary music devotees, researchers, composers, students, and educators. This welcome volume reproduces Source's original, provocative issues in an unparalleled repository of articles, scores, graphics, photos, editorials, and reviews, featuring contributions by some of the 20th century’s leading experimental and pioneering composers and performers. Larry Austin and Douglas Kahn have provided us with a true gem and an invaluable resource for future study.” —Elainie Lillios, Associate Professor of Composition at Bowling Green State University “Source was an audacious piece of new music entrepreneurship that could only have happened in the 1960s. I well recall discovering it in the stacks at the university library, flipping the pages and learning that you could just jump right off the edge of the known musical world. This was not a journal that provided information or mere perspectives on new music: it showed you the music itself. It brought you into direct contact with the excitement, provocation, beauty, audacity, ingenuity, and insight of the leading experimental musicians of the day. You might be offended, intrigued, inspired, amused, baffled, but the point was that you were right in there, seeing what was going on and deciding for yourself what you wanted to make out of it. How wonderful it is for this liberating historical moment to be reincarnated; who knows what musical adventures this re-publication will inspire.” —James Pritchett, author of The Music of John Cage “This long awaited reissue of important documents from the late 1960s, including graphic scores, essays, and articles, is an indispensable anthology of cross-disciplinary ideas about music and composition. This is a fascinating treasure trove of musical counterculture, absolutely relevant today.” —Christian Marclay, visual artist and composer “Source was an essential document of its time, a music magazine that made beautiful music—and beautiful art. This was one of the reasons why I was delighted to be able to reissue all the recordings on a three CD set on Pogus. This book now puts all the print issues in one’s hand, bringing us as close to having Source again as we are ever likely to get." —Al Margolis, Pogus Productions (www.pogus.com) “There was a glorious moment at the cusp of the 1970s when all our musical road maps became obsolete overnight. Young composers relied instead on the accounts of voyageurs, many of which were printed in the pages of Source. Austin and Kahn’s meticulous compendium carries us back to that heady, pre-Web time when anything seemed possible.” —Nicolas Collins, Editor-in-Chief, Leonardo Music Journal

For fans of Daniel Hardcastle's Fuck Yeah!, Videogames and Retro Tech by peter leigh. Equal parts hilarious and informative, Hey! Listen! should be in every gamer's library. - Lucy James, (Gamespot) An informative, accessible romp through the early years of the games industry. All hail Il pirata pallido; the gaming hero we never knew we needed. - Adam Rosser BBC Radio 5Live Steve McNeil is funny, knowledgeable, and a massive, shameless, nerd. His brilliant book reminded me just how much of my life I've wasted. If the Golden Age of Gaming is a horse, then Steve's book is the stable. - Paul Rose (aka Mr Biffo), Digitiser A thoroughly enjoyable look at the early days of video gaming - comprehensive and fun. Loved it! - Stuart Ashen (aka ashens) The 'A La Recherche du Temps Perdu' of the gaming community. The 'A La Recherche du Temps Pew-Pew-Pew', as it were. - Dara O'Briain If 'Games Master' was a Nobel title passed on through the ages like 'Duke of York' or 'Rear of the Year' rather than simply the name of a 90s magazine and TV show then Steve McNeil would surely be the current holder of the esteemed position. What I'm saying is, he knows a LOT about games... - Scroobius Pip Taking us on a historical journey from the very early days all the way through to the late 1990s the book tells the stories of the men and women behind some of the most wonderful (and occasionally awful) games of the golden age, the fierce rivalries, bizarre business practices and downright bonkers risks taken during the pioneering days of computer and video gaming. This informal yet extremely well-researched book manages to educate and entertain in equal measure and this - dare I say - well-informed retrohead actually learnt a good deal. A thoroughly enjoyable read! - Mark Howlett (aka Lord Arse) Hugely funny, and full of fantastic facts about the history of video games. But enough about me; Steve's book is also quite good. - Ellie Gibson, Eurogamer A hilarious history of the golden period of computer games from the creator of Dara O'Briain's Go 8 Bit. It is fair to say Steve McNeil likes video games. He took a Nintendo Wii with him on his honeymoon (obviously), and spent so much time playing smartphone games in bed in the dark that he got eye strain and had to wear an eye patch. The locals nicknamed him 'the pale pirate'. Steve's obsession with video games can be traced back to the golden period from the early 70s to the late 90s. In this book he will delve into these games - from the appallingly bad to the breathtakingly good. He will also take us through the nerdy geniuses who created them, their fierce rivalries and risks often leading to some of the most farcical moments in the history of entertainment. This is a story of obsession, full of tales of Space Invaders, Donkey Kong, Mario, Sonic, Wolfenstein 3D, Worms and many more. It will also answer important questions about the golden age. Questions like: Why did Namco feel they had to change the name of Puck-Man to Pac-Man because they were worried about graffiti, when Nintendo were more than happy to bring out Duck Hunt? Joysticks at the ready. Let's do a gaming!
