Chicken Soup for the Soul’s first-ever humor collection, and the timing is perfect. This is storytelling at its funniest. If laughter is the best medicine, then this book is your prescription. Turn off the news and spend a few days not following current events. Instead, return to the basics—humanity’s ability to laugh at itself. Maybe you should even do a news cleanse for a few days! Hide under the covers and read these stories instead. Or read a chapter a day, or a story a day for 101 days. These pages contain the antidote to whatever is troubling you. They will definitely put you in a good mood. No one is safe from our writers— from spouses to parents to children to colleagues and friends. And of course the funniest of all are the stories they tell about their own mishaps and those “most embarrassing moments.” There’s no holding anything back in these pages, so prepare for lots of good, clean (and not so clean) fun.

The author here first lists the 10 main 'feel-good' factors, and then goes about guiding on how to achieve them. However, he forewarns against pitfalls in such pursuit, but shows how to continue to have the 'feel-good' factor even in times of struggle. He lays importance on the need to remain cheerful and think good even when nothing seems to go right. the author says, 'it is possible to remain happy...' Being able to manage and change your feelings is one of the most important things in life and career. You may have all the rational reasons in the world to do something, but then your emotions can just sweep in and pull everything to a grinding halt. Having your feelings to work for you, instead of against you can have an electrifying effect on your life. There are many ways to change how you feel. Here are 10 ways that don't include chocolate, pain or alcohol and that actually work. All of them might not work right away; it's a bit like learning to ride a bike. You don't learn it by reading about it and the first few times you try, you might fall. But remember when you were a kid learning to ride a bike. You just got up of the ground, brushed yourself of and got on that bike again and again and again. the author reminds that it's easy to be overcome by negative internal chatter. 'I can't do this, what if they think I'm incompetent, God I'm going to fail, I'm going to fail and why did I take this shirt, it's so ugly'. And so on. When preparing for a meeting, taking an examination, an interview, or a presentation, asking someone for a date or anything that makes you really nervous, recall your positive memories from similar experiences. Remember the times when you were confident and relaxed during previous meetings and interviews. Let a few of your best memories wash over you. Let them drown out your negative thoughts. You will get to have such long-drive examples pinned throughout for your successful launch. Focusing on these positive experiences instead of those negative ones that always seem to be closer at hand can make a big difference. Learning to direct you feelings more and more have implications beyond feeling better.

These are some of the excerpts from the book. • Why are we born? This question poses a great challenge for many of us. The best answer to this would be….. • The poor long for riches, the rich long for heaven, but the wise long for a peaceful mind. • In order to perform optimally you need to nurture your body. You wouldn’t fill your car with sludge, leave it in the garage for five years, and then expect it to win a race. • Every day you are impacting the world, and every day you are creating your life through your thoughts. Think whatever you like, big or small, rich or poor, fair or unfair, and those thoughts will strive to become the things and events of your life. It’s an immutable law. • Every human action is either driven by fear or by greed. Beyond the shadow of a doubt both are negative vibrations. One of the best ways you can MAKE yourself happier, in all your attempts, is begin to come from a positive vibration and that’s love. • Your expectations can literally influence your real life experiences. So be aware and consciously choose to create positive expectation with everything you do... • Do what you love and enjoyment will follow. Do what you love and you will feel more fulfilled. Do what you love and the money will seem less relevant. Do what you love, and you’ll never work a day in your life. Alongside, love what you do and you come out a shining star. • Enjoy the process and be willing to accept what comes your way. No matter how successful you are, if you have not stopped to enjoy yourself along the way, your success is half-full. Secret of happiness is not found in receiving more, but in developing the capacity to enjoy more. • Mistakes come from: acting in ignorance or in innocence or through carelessness or acting hastily or acting in fear or acting in worry or acting in doubt or acting under anxiety.

This is the last of the Three book series from Steve Tataii's Liberation of Iraq War memoirs, focusing on the Independent South Kurdistan news developments, which has been his ongoing contribution with spontaneous, critical and emotional writings in defense of the rights of over 5-7 million Kurds of South Kurdistan [the North of the defunct Iraq] in the past 3 years. He has written his responses in a decisive, intense, and prolific style as the events unfold and seen in the most recent, and fresh News developments in his contributing articles published throughout the world for News Websites such as www.KurdistanObserver.com , www.Klawrojna.com , www.eKurd.net, www.Kurdishmedia.com , and many others, including print media. On May, 22, 2004, Tataii nominated Mr. Talabani to become the president of "Arabistan" [South of Kurdish region], and President Massoud Barzani as the president of the Independent South Kurdistan in his famous article published in this book. In his DEC 5, 2003 article Tataii called for Iraq to choose its original form of nationhood the way it used to be before 1920s; one state for Kurds in the North, and the other for Arabs in the South as you'll read in this book under the title: "The best solution is to divide Iraq into two Nations based on ethnicity: The Republic of South Kurdistan, and the Republic of Arabistan."

Right from the get-go I was never going to believe that we were not meant to be happy! At just 15 years of age the thought of spending the rest of my life in misery because “we weren’t put on this earth to be happy” was a thought too frightening to conceive. As I projected this sentiment forward and imagined the long years ahead, then and there I made the commitment that I was going to find the pathway to happiness: that I would live a joyful life. By the time I had reached my middle years this commitment had become an obsession. During this lifetime, I would find the keys to happiness. Whatever it took, joy was my goal and I wouldn’t rest until I found it. With glimpses of happiness along the way, I was motivated and driven. “Love yourself first!” What does that mean? How do you do that? There were lots of great suggestions but very few helpful guidelines. Entrenched in a middle-income mindset I held many limiting beliefs that kept me squarely where I was. But for an enquiring mind and a fearless heart that had almost lost its desire to fight on, I may have drowned in the mire of unworthiness. Little by little the pieces of the puzzle came together. My journey took me to explore both inside and out: what others had to offer and the filters through which I was living my life. A woman on a mission, I wouldn’t let it go until I had discovered the answers. Joy! We are meant to be joyful. We are meant to be happy.

In some areas, beaches are littered with wreckage of ships, and we shudder at their destruction. A mile or so down the beach, others may be standing on the edge of the water, with their surf boards, waiting for the next wave to recede, so they can follow it out, and ride the next one in. On one hand, disaster, on the other opportunity. How do funeral service professionals view this economic storm? Do they wonder how their funeral home can stay afloat in these turbulent economic waters, or go under like the Titanic. Funeral directors are experts at weathering economic typhoons and tornadoes. In my lifetime, I have seen them survive three major disasters, and come out better because of them.
