Experience Travel Guides, the Guides the Travel Industry trust, are unique in that they are designed to be read in the same way as a novel. They are a valuable resource for those planning to visit a destination, a source of information for those just interested in finding out more about a country, and a pleasure for those armchair travelers who just enjoy a good read.Experience Northern Italy 2021 highlights the more rewarding parts of the country so that those planning a visit can quickly and efficiently plan an itinerary. We locate and detail the best places to see and the top experiences to enjoy, and recommend accommodation options in all areas. All are based on the personal experience of the author. We capture the personality and the underlying cultural and historical significance of the cities, regions, and holiday destinations. Each is put into context by chapters on Essential Experiences in Northern Italy and the country's History. As more people travel to new destinations, guidebooks grow in importance. Hard-copy books, however, are often out of date before they are printed and users are frustrated by experiences contrary to what is described. This book has no such problem as it was updated in December 2020 and it can be updated as often as necessary to keep it right up to date.To make it easy to read, we have not filled the book with extensive specialist information which is of interest to only a few readers. Instead, we have included appropriate websites for all destinations, facilities, and activities so that with one click you can obtain all the additional information you need for the places you are particularly interested in. This means the book is very useful both before you leave home and while traveling. Please realize, however, that no guidebook can substitute for common sense. Northern Italy has a wide variety of topography and climate. The higher areas can be very cold in winter when snow covers everything and ski resorts do a roaring trade. In contrast, the Mediterranean coast can be very hot in summer. In both instances, you need appropriate clothing and you need to guard against sunburn and dehydration. There are other precautions you need to take to ensure the safety of yourself and your possessions. Be aware of your surroundings, particularly after dark, and keep valuables close to you. Be aware that pick-pocketing and bag snatching can occur. These problems are probably no worse than they are at home but they can ruin a holiday if you are a victim. We believe that every place in the world provides unique experiences which make a visit worthwhile. We encourage you to explore, meet the locals, and grab each new opportunity as it arises. Traveling is fun but do it with care and compassion. In that way, your northern Italy experience can provide lifetime memories.

Biologic therapy is a treatment that strives to modulate a patient's immune system to fight a given disease. In psoriasis, a skin disorder that is partly caused by a dysregulated immune system resulting in well-demarcated red areas of the skin with white scales, biologic therapy has the potential to vastly improve upon patient outcomes by minimizing the symptoms of this disease while maximizing the safety profile of the therapy. This book offers an up-to-date and comprehensive review on biologic therapy for the treatment of psoriasis. With over 10 FDA approved biologic agents for psoriasis (with more in the pipeline), confusion exists among providers regarding which agent is best for a particular patient. Chapters cover all FDA approved psoriasis biologic agents (including pipeline agents) for use in pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. This book is unique in that it will not only cover cutting edge treatment principles based on the latest research, it will also be one of the most comprehensive reviews of psoriasis biologics in the COVID-19 era. Biologic Therapy for Psoriasis is a must-have resource for board certified dermatologists and rheumatologists, dermatology and rheumatology residents and fellows, dermatology physician assistants, nurse practitioners and medical students. The ultimate goal of this book is to improve patient care by making the busy practicing dermatology provider more adept with these particular therapies.

As the Covid-19 pandemic took hold, pregnancy and maternity services underwent a rapid transformation in an attempt to deal with transmission of the virus and the growing pressure on healthcare services. In a climate of fear, and with many unknowns about the virus and the risks to pregnant women and their babies, restrictions and hastily implemented policies often overrode years of work to improve maternity care, with devastating consequences for new families. Covid Babies: how pandemic health measures undermined pregnancy, birth and early parenting considers how policies put in place to protect us from the immediate threat of the virus ultimately had the unintended consequence of harming many who needed maternity and postnatal care. It highlights how hard-won gains, even when supported by overwhelming evidence, can be lost at the drop of a hat in a crisis. By learning the lessons of the pandemic – through close examination of the evidence base that is now emerging – Amy Brown shows how we can begin to move forward and unravel what has gone wrong. This is no easy task when our health services continue to face significant challenges, but one that is necessary to ensure the health and wellbeing of our new families and those who care for them.

With the introduction of policies to combat COVID-19, far greater numbers of employees across the globe—including those with limited job autonomy—have moved to undertake their entire job at home. Although challenging in the current climate, embracing these flexible modes of work such as working at home, including relevant investment in technology to enable this, will not only deliver potential organizational benefits but also increase the adaptability of the labor market in the short and longer terms. Although perhaps not the central concern of many in the current climate, “good” home-based work is achievable and perhaps even a solution to the current work-based dilemma created by COVID-19 and should be a common goal for individuals, organizations, and society. Research also has shifted to focus on the routines of workers, organizational performance, and well-being of companies and their employees along with reflections on the ways in which these developments may influence and alter the nature of paid work into the post-COVID-19 era. The Handbook of Research on Remote Work and Worker Well-Being in the Post-COVID-19 Era focuses on the rapid expansion of remote working in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic and the impacts it has had on both employees and businesses. The content of the book progresses understanding and raises awareness of the benefits and challenges faced by large-scale movements to remote working, considering the wide array of different ways in which the large-scale movement to remote working is impacting working lives and the economy. This book covers how different fields of work are responding and implementing remote work along with providing a presentation of how work occurs in digital spaces and the impacts on different topics such as gender dynamics and virtual togetherness. It is an ideal reference book for HR professionals, business managers, executives, entrepreneurs, policymakers, researchers, students, practitioners, academicians, and business professionals interested in the latest research on remote working and its impacts.
