Katy Bowman's Move Your DNA 9781943370108 (2014), which explores the difference between exercise and movement, caused a mini-revolution in health and wellness circles. Since mainstream media caught wind, Bowman's furniture-free home, movement-based lifestyle, and scientific explanations of why we need to move have become staples in national health publications and online media around the world. But before Bowman became well known, she wrote down her ideas on movement and alignment in a blog called Katy Says. This revised edition of Alignment Matters contains the first five years of her posts, organized to function as a primer to alignment and better movement, and also to Bowman's more complex books.

Without God's true voice, how can he lead us? (He can't.) We now live in a world that cannot be trusted for divine truth. The abominable heart now dictates what the eyes see, what the mind thinks, and what the conscience feels. It is a mutated form of abomination that doesn't require truth, for the abominable heart has now infiltrated every segment of our society, including religion, and what this means to the world is simple: if you don't know God's true voice for yourself, you are at critical risk of being deceived. God has given us a way to set up our hearts to receive his true voice; that way is through true alignment""one mind, one body, one spirit. Let's ask ourselves one question: without God's true voice, how can he lead us? The answer: he can't. Although we are saved by grace, it is our alignment that paves the way to God's true voice (alignment, the missing link).

Most organizations consist of multiple business and support units, each populated by highly trained, experienced executives. But often the efforts of individual units are not coordinated, resulting in conflicts, lost opportunities, and diminished performance. Robert S. Kaplan and David P. Norton argue that the responsibility for this critical alignment lies with corporate headquarters. In this book, the authors apply their revolutionary Balanced Scorecard management system to corporate-level strategy, revealing how highly successful enterprises achieve powerful synergies by explicitly defining corporate headquarters’ role in setting, coordinating, and overseeing organizational strategy. Based on extensive field research in organizations worldwide, Alignment shows how companies can build an enterprise-level Strategy Map and Balanced Scorecard that clearly articulate the “enterprise value proposition”: how the enterprise creates value above that achieved by individual business units operating alone. The book provides case studies, actionable frameworks, and sample scorecards that show how to align business and support units, boards of directors, and external partners with the corporate strategy and create a governance process that will ensure that alignment is sustained. The next breakthrough in strategy execution from the field’s premier thinkers, Alignment shows how today’s companies can unlock unrealized value from enterprise synergies.

Written by recognized experts in undergraduate education, this book encourages college and university leaders to rethink current practices that fragment the student experience, and to focus on creating powerful, integrated undergraduate learning for all students. Responding to these questions requires focused action by individuals and institutions. The Undergraduate Experience offers practical guidance for creating and sustaining excellence in the face of disruption and change in higher education.

It is time for a new narrative on schools in Australia. Lifting Australia’s performance on international assessments depends on top-class teaching and learning that meets the needs of all students in all settings. The Alignment Premium focuses on how high-performing countries achieve strategic policy alignment, and how school leaders are professionally prepared to play their part. Analysis of approaches used in 13 countries, including most of the world’s top-performers, provides 15 benchmarks against which Australia’s performance is assessed. Findings include: Alignment among different levels of government may be commendable in some respects, but there is much that is coercive, contrived, dysfunctional or illusory. While achieving a top-ten ranking will depend on what occurs in schools, attention should shift to how systems are adapting to support all schools to become as good as Australia’s best. Lack of trust and inertia are serious constraints on efforts to transform Australia’s schools. Programs for professional learning of teachers and school leaders are impressive when assessed against international benchmarks. These should be the top priority. Building on findings in The Autonomy Premium, the focus should be on professional autonomy. The challenge is to design a system in which all those who work in or for schools are fully professional. The Alignment Premium is essential reading for policy-makers, school leaders and researchers who wish to write the new narrative.

This book analyses interest group communication strategies in parliamentary political systems, and considers how political uncertainty, which emerges from the political process, shapes interest group communication strategies. It develops a formal model of lobbying in a bicameral legislature with strong party discipline, and discusses why interest groups choose public or private communication channels to influence political bargaining. The book tests its hypothesis in different policy contexts, including lobbying on major legislation in the field of labour and social policy.

Map Detailing Ancient Olmec and Maya States that Rimmed the Gulf of Mexico It seems that the human race has an abiding tendency to know what surrounds our often routine, mundane lives. There is an even greater tendency to involve ourselves in perceived mystery, particularly when it involves prophecy and doomsday scenarios. The astronomical Alignment on December 21, 2012 is just such an event that encompasses all the elements of a great mystery, including doomsday prophecy and more. The book chronicles what a group of noted scientists say we can expect to happen, as the sun and earth align with the center of our own galaxy. The reader is cautioned to hold on tight, and be mentally prepared for mind-bending surprises, as a cabal of our best scientific minds slug it out over the portent of the Alignment during a symposium at the Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton, NJ.

Philippa Lubbock tells the wonderful story of how one of today's foremost healers, Dr Jeff Levin, came to understand that he was being given a special message - and the gift of practising and teaching this extraordinarily powerful new vibrational healing method. In the course of her account she explains how the healing system works. The mind controls the body, with the result that self-limiting beliefs and repressed feelings are the real root cause of illness. The corollary of this is that everything we need to heal is actually within us. Life Alignment works with the individual's higher consciousness - which is accessed through muscle testing and dowsing - to ascertain the root causes of the disease. Then, with the help of Dr Levin's powerful Life Alignment Vortex Cards, the healing process happens - rapidly and with incredible ease. Here are heart-warming and astonishing stories of how ordinary people lucky enough to have discovered Life Alignment have been instantly healed - from a range of physical and mental problems. Philippa's own story demonstrates the extraordinary power of the Life Alignment Vortex Cards which are just one aspect of this miraculous new system of healing: ' - I visited a blood microscopist in Devon, to carry out an experiment using my own blood. Placing 3 Vortex cards on my body changed my blood cells from unhealthy to healthy in minutes. Normally this kind of transformation takes a minimum of 3 months and a strict diet to change previously unhealthy misshapen cells, which we all have, to healthy, round cells.' Life Alignment will genuinely change your life.
