If you think atheists have reason, evidence, and science on their side, think again! Award-winning author Dr. Frank Turek (I Don’t Have Enough Faith to be an Atheist) will show you how atheists steal reason, evidence, science, and other arguments from God in trying to make their case for atheism. If that sounds contradictory, it’s because it is! Atheists can’t make their case without appealing to realities only theism can explain. In an engaging and memorable way, Stealing from God exposes these intellectual crimes atheists are committing and then provides four powerful reasons for why Christianity is true.

Classical Reformed Theology and Its Postmodern Critics

This is a detailed examination of the theological innovations of Kevin Vanhoozer and John Franke. Each proposes that doctrinal and systematic theology should be recast in the light of postmodernity. No longer can Christian theology be foundational, or have a stable metaphysical and epistemological framework. Vanhoozer advocates a theo-dramatic reconstruction of Christian doctrine, replacing the timeless propositions of the "purely cerebral theology" of the Reformed tradition in favor of a theology that does justice to the polyphony of multiple biblical genres. Franke holds that theology is part of a three-way conversation between Scripture, tradition, and culture, with an uncertain outcome. This study shows that each of these proposals is based on misunderstanding and exaggeration, and that the case against foundationalism is unclear and unpersuasive. It is argued that Vanhoozer's appeal to revelation as divine speech-acts is not as radical as he thinks, and his epistemology is weak. In the hands of postmodernity, Christian theology abandons its exactness and the standards of care that are a notable feature of doctrinal constrictions. The book will be of importance to those with interest in Reformed theology or Christian theology more generally. It provides a clear assessment of the impact of the postmodern mindset on theology.

Finding a coherent set of answers to life’s age-old questions can be an onerous undertaking. Yet the questions abound in our culture, and a rational collection of answers is seemingly ungraspable. Commoners have been led to believe that beliefs are irreversibly inconsequential. Youngsters are boldly instructed to merely seek success. Teachers unblushingly preach to students that there is no such thing as truth. With uncountable opinions and beliefs put forth, who ought we to trust? Should we give credence to the preachy words of secularists who do not even have the backbone to adhere to a logically consistent worldview? Are we to trust the pop psychologists who unmindfully and unabashedly bypass life’s essential questions? Would it be shrewd of us to subscribe to the pluralists who lack the decency to study incommensurable worldviews, yet absurdly accept contrasting worldviews as equally valid? Whom shall we trust? In a culture where common sense has commonly vanished amongst commoners, we would do well to welcome common sense into our lives. Thinking episodically has become the modern routine, and yet, such a routine suffocates us in the ruins of our own lack of thinking, for thinking episodically is really no way of thinking at all. Perhaps, just perhaps, the answers to life’s most pressing questions are within our reach, but first we must be willing to embrace common sense.

Cardinal Newman died on August 11, 1890 at the age of 89.Although his mind remained lucid to the end, his body declined to the point that in the summer of that year it became evident to all that the end was near. However, on the evening of August 9 he staged a remarkable rally which was recorded by Father William Neville, his secretary and caregiver in his final years. Not recognizing his youthful step he was surprised when Newman entered his room, and he was-unbent, erect to the full height of his best days in the fifties; he was without support of any kind. His whole carriage was, it may be said, soldierlike, and so dignified; and his countenance was most attractive to look at; even great age seemed to have gone from his face, and with it all careworn signs; his very look conveyed the cheerfulness and gratitude of his mind, and what he said was so kind, his voice was quite fresh and strong, his whole appearance was that of power, combined with complete calm... [Ward,The Life of Cardinal Newman, vol.2,537] At his request he was buried in the grave of his friend Ambrose St. John. On the memorial were engraved the words Ex umbris et imaginibus in veritatem-from shadows and illusions into truth. All of his life Newman had been a soldier for Christ-prepared to do battle for the truth. This is the story of his spiritual journey; emerging from the shadows into the fullness of truth.

Romance and adventure novellas about contemporary North American upper middle class family, exposing highly intense drama behind a decent façade. Acting in exotic places of American wilderness, boardrooms of corporations or comfortable homes, dangerous locales of Jamaica and megalopolises of Canada and the US, the characters must deal with tough reality of competition, temptations and intense desires, often passing the threshold of morality and law. These are not purely romantic stories, although the intoxicating aura of romance permeates each novella. But love and happiness often go hand in hand with tragedy when the romance fizzles and the complex practical matters flood the souls and minds of lovers. Detailed in an elegant literary manner, the beautiful world around us is shown as having too many opportunities and temptations for some, which burden the human mind. Our morals, those unwritten rules that are supposed to supplement the laws governing society, are often unable to sustain the burden of passion and desire. Saturated with intense competition in business, love and social matters, life makes relations between the sexes more complicated than many can handle. The book will appeal to many different readers. Those who read solely for entertainment will find them intriguing and entertaining, while the more cerebral readers will discover the deep philosophical questions the stories pose.

However, in essence, I believe the book is there to help me and others as well to know him and to fall in love with him again and to trust him. I believe that when people read this book, they will identify with it, and also that The Lord will meet their needs and set them free.

Grace Triumphs over Law - The Scripture that Changed My Life is the story of one man’s journey from living under the law to living under grace, from condemnation to salvation, and from darkness to light. While studying the Scriptures, the Holy Spirit brought clear understanding of the falsehood of his religion and the real truths found in God’s Holy Word. We will examine hundreds of scriptural references and quotations to uncover the distinction between the old and new covenants (law and grace), demonstrating the promises and righteousness now available to all Christians through Jesus Christ our Lord. Examples from the law and its rituals are examined, explained, and shown to be predecessors to the new covenant of love, grace, and mercy. You will be carried along this journey with him as we explore how good and gracious our God truly is, as demonstrated by the life, death, burial, resurrection, ascension, and teachings of God the Son. God’s free gift of Christ’s completed work has opened to us a better covenant with better promises, and the gift of the Holy Spirit to all who believe. This is a handbook and study guide, for old and new Christians alike, concentrating on the new life found in Jesus, through His eternal sacrifice, which brought about the wonders of the new covenant between God and His saints.
